Presented by Adina Davidson PhD LISW-S Jungian Analyst
Psychology has thoroughly explored the question of how parents impact their children. However we have rarely examined how the act of parenting changes the parent. Jung states that individuation has two main engines: sacrifice and love. I believe that "good enough" parenting requires the same two activities. Therefore, parenting when done consciously and with attention is a powerful agent of individuation. In this program we will examine some of the mythical and present day examples of how parenting contributes to either growth or diminishment of the parent.
