Carolyn Russell Stonewall’s Once Upon A Loss: A New Look at Cinderella
Event Description:
Join us for coffee, light refreshments, and a FREE SCREENING of the film, Once Upon A Loss: A New Look at Cinderella. Produced and directed by Carolyn Russell Stonewell, this version of the storybook classic explores Cinderella’s scope of experience from losing her mother, to losing her innocence, to ultimately losing the safety she knew within her own environment. In addition to the protagonist's ability to face those losses, Stonewell adds thematic depth by including commentary from a Jungian analyst whose personal interviews with women echo the importance of enduring loss as a navigating principle in life.
Immediately following the FREE screening will be discussion facilitated by Jody Wainer, a Licensed Independent Social Worker and Jungian Analyst. Wainer has been in a private practice since 1996 and is the past president of Jung Cleveland. She is interested in increasing the visibility and understanding of Jungian thought and the support it can offer our lives.
