This is a 4-session class (Nov. 1, 15, 29 and Dec. 13 - 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.) where we will explore Complex Theory.
A Complex is a psychic structure that amasses loosely associated feelings, images, and ideas around an archetypal core. We will explore the origins of complexes and their impact on individual behavior and thought processes. Developing consciousness of our personal and cultural complexes can help us to make meaning of our lives and the world, providing space for individuation.
We will gain insight into the archetypal nature of complexes and their role in shaping one's personality, as well as cultural and collective norms, ideas, beliefs, and behaviors. We will explore how complex theory has relevance and real-world application for understanding current cultural phenomena.
