Anti-racist activism has increased in recent months following the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. While police brutality towards people of color is not new, these recent killings seem to be serving as a tipping point, heightening consciousness of our personal and collective shadow material, encouraging education, and spurring change.
Systemic racism in America is nuanced, multi-layered, and highly charged, woven into the very fabric of our country. Using a Jungian lens this seminar will explore systemic racism and what it means to be anti-racist. We will begin to unpack our own unconscious bias, privilege, and prejudices, looking particularly at the ways in which they emerge within the analytic dyad.
